i am an academic historian, teaching at a uk university - more specifically I specialise in the history of crime and the criminal justice system, in the 18th and 19th centuries. Secondly, thank you for your straightforward definition.  It's given me an insight into the internal 'laws' I'm measuring myself against, and what is for me, an elusive 'external' view of my own attitude.  You have just handed me a key, and I truly appreciate that.&lt;br&gt;
